Reason

Reason is a digital audio workstation from Reason Studios, known for its virtual modular rack of instruments, effects, and MIDI generators. Users build sounds by dragging and dropping devices and patching them together.

It is aimed at producers who want an integrated environment and is available both as a standalone DAW and, via the Reason Rack plugin, inside other DAWs such as Logic and Ableton Live. It is offered as a perpetual license or through the Reason+ subscription.
